SMB iSAO stood for Small and Mid-Size Business Information Sharing and Analysis Organization. Archived resources describe threat reporting, education and analyst-supported sharing aimed at businesses with limited security resources.
Recognition, accurately attributed
SMB ISAO received an organizational Information Sharing Hall of Fame award in 2018. Bonnie Moss, its executive director, received the individual award in 2019. These were distinct awards to distinct recipients.
The lesson for this publication
Our proposed approach carries forward the usefulness of that model: explain an alert, show the source and offer a practical next step. Cyber Security Journal is a new publication; it does not claim to be SMB iSAO’s successor or to inherit its relationships. The original operation’s closure date and cause have not been established.
